Sinful Pleasures | 2010

In the summer of 2010 I wrote a series of short poems which I compiled into a Visual Sketchbook. This is Entry #4

It stares at me

like a cheap prostitute

showing off

more than I wish to see

with its lazy torso; losing balance

in a see-sawing left and right struggle

syrup erupting from its core

as it majestically collapses

into a flattened out pool

of white icing.

“Eat me…”

I look away.

“Allow me to simmer and dissolve on your tongue …”

It flirts and seduces.

“To hell with you”
