Fruity Prejudice | 2010
In the summer of 2010 I wrote a series of short poems which I compiled into a Visual Sketchbook. This is Entry #19
And even between them,
the segregation exists.
The blacks on one side,
the whites on another;
not to be mixed
merged
or intermingled
as though there was even
any difference
in taste
suppleness
or texture
as each class neatly huddles up
with its own fruity sect
and stays weary
of the ever-so-dangerous
other side.
